The Woodman and 'The Fairy

THE WOODMAN AND THE FAIRY

      One day , there was an old man in a small village . His name is John , He was a poor wood man, every day he always cut a down  trees for survive his life . He was a generous , he always search a lot of money to give to the an other poor people , although he was poor , but he still able to give their some money.

      As usual , John went to a river to cut down the tree near that river. He also prepared his axe. After arrived in that river , suddenly his old axe slipped from his hand and fell into deep water. He tried to take his axe . But he couldn’t . He very sad on the river bank and was feeling a very sad man because he had lost his only axe .

       In that time , he didn’t know how he must do . He only can pray to God , and put all his weight to the lord . And also pray that he could find his axe . Suddenly a bright fairy appeared and asked the wood man , what was the matter .

“I have lost my axe , it fell into the deep water,” he said

The fairy allowed him a gold axe and said , “Is this yours ?”

“No,” said the woodcutter.

The fairy then showed him a silver axe and said again in her clear voice “Is this yours?”

“No” again answered the woodcutter.

Then she showed him a common , iron axe with an old wodden handle.

“Yes, that’s mine,” said the happy woodcutter.

“I know it well enough,” said the fairy. “I only wanted to see if you would tell me the truth ; and now I will give you the gold axe and the silver axe because you are an honest man.”

      He very didn’t expect , the fairy was test him , but what ever it , he was very grateful to God because with his honestly , he could work again.

     From this narrative text , we can learn how to helped an other people and also to be honest in all our activity . especially we can learn to take pur problem to God , cause only God can helped and give a solution of our problem.
